Inspiration

Nestled in the rolling orchards of South East Kelowna, the Belgo pond a special refuge for migratory birds & the rare painted turtle. With Black Mountain towering above, autumn sunsets can cast magenta reflections of the volcanic rock & turning leaves. A magical environment of natural beauty and critical importance as one of the Okanagan’s few remaining wetlands. The original 36x48 acrylic on canvas painting was created in February 2021 for the Gizzli Winery “Almost Spring Galley” to support CMHA Kelowna which was put on by the Federation of Canadian Artists Central Okanagan Chapter. It now sits in a private collection.

Whether it’s an epic powder day on the ski hill, a hot Okanagan afternoon by the lake, or catching a big winter swell in Tofino, Jaxon feels that nature can teach us so much about slowing down, being present & truly living a fulfilled life enriched by experience. Using this as the spark for his inspiration, Jaxon packs each painting with as much positivity energy as possible bringing great joy, happiness & colour into people’s lives & living rooms! Being a self taught artist, Jaxon’s aim with painting is to inspire others to create. Whether it is art, dance, music, words or sculpting, we all have the power to create positivity!
